Twins Lakorn

This year we open the lakornworld with a few exciting lakorns like Wimarn Sai, Rarng Rak Prang Jai, Samee Chua Keun and Game Prattana. But particularly that interest us more is RRPJ because well, the fact that Donut is our new favorite LMAO.

RRPJ tell story of Usa who lose her memories and became a suspect in the murder case of her own husband. She tries to find the real murderer along with gaining her memories back with her husband’s younger brother. And from then you can imagine between who and how the love blossom, right? RRPJ is intriguing because turn out Usa have a twins and our male lead, Tian and even Usa herself don’t know which one of the twins she is.

Lakornworld have their share of good lakorns with twins, and here I’m gonna share you our admins and friends favorites with some comments about it.

Sud Sai Pan (2013)

Synopsis: Tithit meets Gandaomanee Girinisuan in Phrajoit and falls in love with her. Unbeknownst to Thit, Gandaomanee is using her elder twin sister’s name, Gandaowasee, for herself, therefore tricking him into thinking her real name is Gandaowasee. She later leaves him when she finds out that he’s a poor son of a merchant. Thit is heart-broken and tries searching for her unsuccessfully. One year later, Thit meets the real Gandaowasee at a banquet and is ecstatic upon seeing her. But Gan claims she doesn’t know him. Thit is confused and confronts Gan about their relationship. He assumes she doesn’t want to remember him because he’s poor, therefore denying ever knowing him.

Cast: Vill Wannarot Sonthichai and Toomtam Yuttana Puangklang

Camilla: My other favorite watch! I loved SSP, I watched it so many times. It was so dramatic but there's something about it that make me love rewatching it LMAO.

Raeng Ngao (2012)

Synopsis: Mootha, the naive and innocent twin, came to find a job in Bangkok where she met her boss, a managing director, named Janepope, she fell in love with him. Janepope is a player, he already has a wife and 3 kids, but he tricked Mootha into falling for him anyway. When his wife found out that he was having an affair with Mootha, she humiliated her at work. Due to the humiliation, she went back home where she committed suicide, which was on the same day as when her older twin sister, Moonin, came home. Moonin felt that she was one of the caused for her sister’s death, so she decided to get revenge for her sister by going back to Bangkok and pretended to be Mootha.

Cast: Janie Tienphosuwan and Ken Phupoom Phongpanu

Phanthittra: I like the twist in this lakorn that the "supposedly evil twin" who have stronger character is the one who is a good twin instead.

Song Sanaeha (2021)

Synopsis: Born as identical beautiful twin girls with very different personalities and fate. Duenyard, the older twin, chose the fast lane of celebrity life. She is self-centered and selfish, while her sister, Pilaslak, is cheerful, loves nature and the simple country life. Unfortunately, Duenyard’s fate started going down the slippery slope and was blackmailed by the underground society. Though separate, their lives intertwined in a web of deception and lies. They may share the same genes, but their fate and end are not the same as they are two of a different kind.

Cast: Kimmy Kimberley Anne Woltemas and James Ma

Kisses: I watched this lakorn for Kim's acting. I wanted to see how she would portray the broken Duen and she did not disappoint. It's rare to find an actresses that can portray twins alone and nailed it.

Ngao Jai (2015)

Synopsis: Twins, Watit and Ruth, lead completely different lives. Watit belongs to high society in the city, while Ruth leads a modest life in the countryside. When Watit gets severely injured, their father asks Ruth to take over his brothers life, pretending to be Watit in hope of finding the person who tried to kill his brother. Metinee, is Watits fiance. Their engagement is based on a business deal, not affection. When Ruth replaces his brother, Metinee doesn’t notice and marries him. Metinee gradually begins to realize that he is a different man, while slowly falling in love.

Cast: Vill Wannarot Sonthichai and Toomtam Yuttana Puangklang

Sornsuer: I just like it because it's the same couple from SSP.
Asteri: its a funny fact that this is the second time Vill and Toomtam act in a lakorn together with twins as the center of the story. Though still my favorite is Twin Vill (honestly, Sood Sai Pan is everyone favorite LMAO)

Kratuk nuad Seua (2015)

Synopsis: Pud is the only one mechanic of Arayan, the district at the border of Thailand which surrounded with forests and mountains and full of “suea” (tiger) that means an outlaw. In fact, Pud is a member of Suea Thongbai’s gang but he himself is not yet Suea. The story starts when Pud dreamed of the legendary Luangpoo (senior monk) Kem who was considered the best warlock in the past before he became a monk. The legend said, anyone who owns Luangpoo Kem’s magic items, he will be so powerful even can establish his own country! The peaceful Arayan is now on fire!

Cast: Pop Thagoon Karnthip, Sara Legge, Not Vorarit Fuangarome.

Kumkaew: The interesting part about this lakorn is that SPOILER.... even though our male leads are twins, unfortunately they never discover each other 'till the end.

Ruk Nee … Jhe Jud Hai (2014)

Synopsis: It tells the story of twin brothers who were born and raised abroad in America. When one of the brothers “comes out” that he is gay, their father cannot accept it and is furious and kicks him out of the house. Pete then moves to Thailand with his nanny and becomes a famous celebrity/male actor. His other straight brother is a nature lover, carefree, and spontaneous. He can roam around in woods for weeks and not give a care about hygiene or what is going on in the world. Pete becomes best friends and lives with Lookjun, who is a smart editor of a famous Magazine as well as a best selling author. Later when Pete’s secret is about to be exposed Paul switches places with him, and slowly Lookjun and Paul fall in love.

Cast:  Ohm Atshar Nampan and Matt Peeranee Kongthai

Sornsuer: I like it for the goofy fun characters, also love the ending where Lookjun said she will take both.

Lom Sorn Ruk (2015)

Synopsis: Nadech plays a twin; one is a doctor and the other one is a businessman. Each of them have their on love interest. Patarin is a young girl weak towards the world and thought that her boyfriend gave his love to her sincerely but realized she got deceived and was used as a tool. Now she has to pay for the things he left her to pay. One day she goes home to her birthplace in the countryside to rest and treat her deeply injured heart. Patarin meets and receives an offer from Pranon, a doctor who is an idealist to marry with him to deceive his parents in exchange for a large sum of money for her to pay off her debt. Nadech also plays the twin and businessman named Pran. Pran has his own loveline with Anna.

Cast: Nadech Kugimiya and Taew Natapohn Tameeruks

Asteri: Beside the fact that Nadech is hot? Lol Truly is that I find the story of Lom Sorn Ruk really interesting. And my favorite twin of course is Mor Non.
